Spey
As well as a traditional Spey option we also offer laparoscopic (keyhole) spey procedures for female dogs. A traditional spey involves a larger incision in the abdomen, while a laparoscopic spey uses two tiny incisions and a camera to guide the surgery.
The keyhole method generally means less pain, faster recovery (two days instead of two weeks as with traditional) and smaller scars — but it may not be suitable for every patient.
We’ll discuss both options with you so you can choose what’s best for your pet.
